I bought a three-year-old 2021 with 30,000 miles on it. There was no way that you would know it was a used vehicle from Tesla. It was that well taken care of.

Good job. I can echo your experience. In April, I bid on, and bought a 2018 Model 3 with 54,000 miles for $7800 at a salvage vehicle auction. It had been wrecked in the front. Every damaged part was bolt on. Parts cost me another $4,000. My son, who is a Tesla expert, and I (unskilled) did the work. It is rear wheel drive and long range with the FSD option. Truly, it is a very nice car. I am giving it to my 27 yo daughter. Last year, I installed a 240 volt charging station in my garage for my wife's 2023 Model Y. I did upgrade my solar system, so most of her driving is free. The car uses more than the home. Being in California does help.

Mine have 222 333 km, 85% batteries efficiency. It’s a Model 3 LR RWD 2018. I paid it $19k CDN at the beginning of the month. She travelled the USA twice from Montreal.

I bought a similar ‘18 long range rwd, 80k, 19” wheels, fsd. Purchased direct from Tesla late last year for 25000. Battery is 301 at 100%. I think Tesla’s build quality was at a peak these first couple years of model 3 production. One observation is that Tesla doesn’t change the cabin air filter as reconditioning. Also check the radiator/ heat exchanger for debris. Changing / cleaning both will greatly help your AC.

I've been thinking about buying a used Tesla. The prices of used ones has come down so much and I could use my Tesla for powering my house in Grid down situations really has me thinking about buying one.

I am looking at buying a Tesla for myself. The choice is a 2020 model with 80,000km or spend $10,000 more for a 21 model with 30,000km on the clock. Both contain autopilot. Both of them are from the Tesla dealership in Melbourne

I just got a 19 Dual Motor LR. its pretty awesome paid 25k. 41k on the clock. FSD included. However..... I got it 1 month ago, and its loosing 1KWH of Nominal full pack per week. Thankfully Tesla has the warranty for 120k or 8 years. So when it fails It should be coved.

I was follwing along until you said that you got 300 miles out of a 2018 M3 RWD.....I have to assume that you bought yourself a 2018 LR RWD M3 and NOT a standard RWD model.

I’m sure it’s an ideal daily driver but I’d need some manual V8 muscle for the weekend.

I did the same thing. Bought a 2018 model 3. It came with FSD which surprised the hell out of me. Only 15k miles.

I bought a 2018 long range RWD model 3 in October 2023. The previous owner did 2K$ in repairs before selling. Was told it would be “mint” by Tesla before purchase. 4 months after purchase, I got a warning that brake fluid was low. Went into Tesla and they said brake lines were corroded and needed to be changed. They covered it but then found that the steering wheel connector was corroded. I paid 3K$ for that and it didn’t feel good. Love the car but got unlucky there

There are more Tesla Model 3 & Y than Hondas on the roads. People ditched Hondas/Toyotas/Mercedes/BMW/Bentley/Rolls Royce & Nissans for Tesla 3/Y 😅

I thought to warranty was 4yr/50k miles. How were you able to get these repairs covered at $0 and with a loaner car.

Funny you should mention the Pro 7, I've literally just bought a used one off eBay for the price you paid for your 4 three years ago, amazing how quickly these things depreciate in value, much wiser to buy them used it seems!

In 2024 CAN you buy a used Tesla from TESLA? Not in CANADA in the GTA - THEY NEVER HAVE ANY! And when they DO? They are still too expensive for my "use case" (I'm retired) and sell too fast to think about it. If you see one and you want it, buy it right then because it will be gone when you come back. But HEY, NOBODY wants EVs right? Right now there are ZERO USED Model 3's available in the GTA (the largest city in Canada and about 5 - 6 million people overall) on the Tesla website.

My 2018 Model X P100D with 104,000 miles retains 91.2% of its original range. Also, we never never ever see anywhere close to the range that Tesla officially states. So, take it with a grain of salt. 3% supercharging annually and I regularly charge it up to only 80%, unless for long trips to only 95% and NEVER have I charged it to 100%. Still only retain 91.2% of its original capacity. I just hope that when the time for the battery going dead arrives, I won't have to pay a hefty fee for dumping it or recycling it. That would be a bummer.

I can't believe people buy NEW Teslas actually. The newer Model 3 and Model Y long range AWD version both see their range revised downward again just last week. And with Tesla recommended charging of no more than 80%, the stated range of Model Y LR AWD of 308 is reduced to 246 miles. That is not what we call a "long range" model. And if you get the Model Y LR AWD with the 20 inch rims and tires package, the range is further decreased to just 287 miles. and 80% recommended charging of that further reduce the usable range to 229 miles only. Forget it.

We went into the Tesla Service Center for a scheduled repair that was expected to complete just before the end of the day. We noticed the new Model 3 Highland parked nearby, after checking it out for ten or fifteen minutes, one of the employees ask us if we wanted to test drive it. We drove around in it while doing a few errands and returned it a while later. Upon returning it, we mentioned how we did not get a chance to test the FSD. The Service attendant told us to go ahead and try it for a bit. We proceeded to test it while doing even more errands, and returned it after receiving notification that our vehicle was ready early. Overall, we estimated that we had the test vehicle for about four hours… 😳 We have had our Model 3 for over three years, maybe spent SIXTY dollars in total for service, plus Two hundred fifty dollars deductible for a windshield replacement, that was no fault of the vehicle itself… The only other thing we have done to the car was rotate the tyres after 20K miles… 😏

Going on 3 years with my model 3. Most convenient car I’ve ever owned. Can’t remember the last time I’ve been to gas station and very low maintenance.. which consisted of windshield fluid so far

Wait until you have to put a battery in it, or you try to trade it in when it needs a battery. See what your opinion of ownership cost is then
